The Good : The Acting
The FX
The Cinematography

The Bad : Too much cliché, (Snape the good guy, James bad).
Irrealistic, (Snape could never defeat 4 marauders at once.

You're right: Severus could not defeat all four Marauders at once.

But James absolutely IS the bad guy. In the books, he bullies Severus because "he exists." Nowhere in canon do we see Severus initiate an attack on the Marauders. If it happened, JKR should have shown us. She didn't, and therefore it didn't happen. That makes James the villain, not the hero, in this particular relationship, no matter how heroic he may have been in other situations.

James stop doing that at his age. Also, James bullied Severus because Severus was a giant racist piece of shit. So yeah, James bullied Severus, so what? People change. Let's calculate the good and the bad of James and Severus.

Bad : He Bullied Severus

Good : Fought against Voldemort and the Death Eater.
Joined a group that tried to fight the Dark Lord.
Saved Black from his abusive home.
Kept the Secret of Lupin being a Werewolf, he would have been executed without that.
Changed his comportement and character for the wife he loves, he stopped being a jerk when he became an adult.
Sacrificed his life for his children and wife.

Good of Severus : Joined Dumbledore against Voldemort AFTER he joined the Death Eater and only because Lily died.
Protected Harry Potter.
Sacrificed himself.

The Bad : He joined a cult that was racist as fuck and torture/killed mudblood.
Was with Voldemort because he was bullied because of James  and was jealous of him because James was with Lily and was stronger than him. He would always win. wich is not a good reason.
Probably killed a bunch of people.
Helped the Dark Lord get to the power BEFORE he went rogue against him.
Was a terrible person to any non full blooded sorcerer.
Tortured Harry Potter mentally not to protect him but also because he hated his dad.
Bullied Harry as a Child.

Need I go on... J.K. Rowling stated multiple times that Severus was not a good guy compared to James who did some stupid shit when he was a kid but grew up and became a hero. Also, Severus had multiple duels with James and always lost, yes, he was strong but James Potter was the best sorcerer in the whole school, he was a genius.

I don't care what JKR says. I care what she wrote, and she *wrote* James as a bully who never changed his ways, and Severus as a victim who deeply repented for whatever evil he had done. No one else in the entire series recognizes he has done wrong and works to atone for it. That's why I'm a Snape fan.

That is what JKR showed us in the books. If she had wanted something else, she should have written something else. That's all I have to say on the subject.

I think JKR knows more about the books more than you, I don't care what YOU think. Gave you my points, during his whole life James more good than Severus. She wrote that he changed his way wether you like it or not.

I can read the book like anyone else, and what's written in the book is that, according to Remus and Sirius, James "changed" by hiding his bullying from Lily, not by stopping it. That makes him a liar as well as a bully. That's what it says in the text. If JKR "knew" that James stopped being a bully, she should have written it into the text, but she didn't. What goes on in JKR's head is irrelevant; only the text matters.

He stopped it wether you like it or not, not hide it. JKR made the book, she decides wich is the good one and wich is the bad one. Again, I listed what James did good compared to Severus and he did way better stuff than him, goodbye, you just can't admit when you're wrong.
